Yeah the engine is first appearing the Lexus IS later this year. A lower power version will also be in the Avensis about the same time, with the full power version coming next year. As with all Jap marques though, no auto gearbox, manual only.

Should be nice in a IS200. That will sell lots and lots, may even consider it myself. Not sure about big powered avensis. My Step Dad has a MY00 1.8 GS. He wears 20 year old grey jumpers and paints and watches birds..........

Still a corrolla hot hatch would appeal to a select group !
