A few pics of my old car.... :) (56k warning)
First off appologies for the massive pics! couldnt be assed to resize them
Thought id post a few pics of my old beast. It was a proper slag Renault Clio mk1 16v. Williams 2.0 16v engine and box, cams, manifold, decat, etc, etc. 180bhp, 160ft/lbs. Rally spec fuel tank, buckets, lightweight alloys, 4 pots, 1.2 badges
Had it weighed at 880kg, making a nice 205bhp/ton through the front wheels. 0-100 on the clocks was just under 14 seconds, but obviously clocks arent accurate. 1/4 mile was 14.1 which isnt bad for a FWD motor, especially with an annoying 5th gear change just before the finish line on every bloody run!!
not to everyones taste, but it was super fun to drive, handled great, really chuckable, and the power delivery was just raw from 2krpm to the limiter in any gear!! pulled like a train.

What number off the assembly line is it? Mine was number 98 of 400. My Mk 1 Clio Williams was the most fun I've had driving a car. That includes my old MY99 STI Type-R and current Nissan 350Z. They rock...and very cheap now as well.

Nice motor, like it. Particularly like the fact you left the 1.2 badges on - its a Right Touch!
Prima racing used to have a similar car didn't they? Theirs was a similar Williams transplant I think.
What did you replace it with?

it was actually a 1.8 16v shell which is identical to the williams with flared arches and bonnet vent etc. I just got the 1.2 badges for the grin factor as it never had any put back on after it was resprayed.

the scooby is 276bhp, but after transmission loss, and the extra weight there isnt a lot in it mate to be honest! power per ton @ wheels is very similar between the 2, but the scooby is in full trim, 18's and much comfier!
i only ever had a dual with 2 scoobies! one was a uk spec with 3 passengers that was easily beat, and the other was a white K reg sti (250ps?) from rolling and i managed to pass him at 70mph slowly but comfortably believe it or not. he was on his own and I had a passenger... it was a fast little bugger!
iv got a few plans to make the scooby a bit quicker tho

Yeah he mentioned he was taking it.
My main problem was having to change to 5th gear about 15 yards before the line due to it having the standard limiter and short box. i ran 14.1's all day with that damn 5th change just before the line.
Lads had the limiter upped now, so i reckon its good for high 13's
crap times tho yesterday i believe due to wet track!!
