My new Sunday ride :)
Sold the Scoob to get a sensible family car (New Golf 1.6fsi) but needed something to cherish so after much looking I found this:
Series 1 RS 31k one or two bits still to do eg: wheel refurb, maybe spray rear arches due to stonechips, but all in all its damn clean!
Anyone else hiding RS`s out there?

That looks very clean mate!!! I regret the day I sold mine, 8 years old with only 38k on the clock and let it go for 4k......typically insurance dropped then its worth 6k maybe 7k
Anyway enjoy. Any mods in mind for it mate?

Totally standard as it is and it will stay that way
As for tiger stripes, not now its classed as a classic on the insurance and I think they are now, becoming more rare in this condition and less chavs have them than scoobys

He he I understood it was the fluffy dice comment I was referring to
tbh on a 20 year old engine any modifications now would have to start from the bottom up. Its standard and I plan to keep it that way for re sale value

Thanks for the comments
No rust anywhere, everythings is solid as a rock amazingly. Underneath would need painting to compete with the concourse bufties but I havent really got the time or inclanation to go to that extreme.
205 was sold to my mum! She is looking after it for me. Still a great car, makes me smile when I nick the keys off her.

Paul,
Dump valve is coming off when I can get my hands on a damn pipe!
I paid £5500 :s and looking at the current market that seems quite cheap.
31k 1 owner model went on e-bay for 6.5k the other week!
Dreamweaver, no problem mate, unless I have it back 33k on the clock and me ma` wont put many more miles on her commute to work.
