lol!! New Merc CLK limited to 199mph!!
Why did they bother?!! Limiting to 155mph seems a little silly, but 199mph?!! Who decided that was a good idea?!! Top end cant be that much more anyway!

One hell of an impressive car tho - 0-125 in 10.9 isnt half bad!

Apparently a 650bhp Brabus tuned Maybach has been timed at 199 at Nardo - well over 200 if you account for tyre scrub (reported in this months Mercedes Enthusiast mag). Not bad.... I wonder if they took the champagne flutes and bottles of Bolly out of the fridge to improve the power/weight?

THAT LOOKS GORGEOUS
"Given than an unrestricted SL55, with over 100bhp less than the CLK, is known to do 202mph,"
AND around Nurburgring
"So how fast would it go if he really tried: 'Oh, 7min 45sec, no problem.' And that is something else. "
AND this bits cracked me up
"If I had one, I'd spend my life hoping for some poor soul in a 911 Turbo to come along, mistake it for a bodykitted CLK55 and reckon it was fair game. He'd probably need medical treatment afterwards."

What seems more important is how quick does it get form 199 back to lets say 80mph, because whilst only a reletive handful of people in the world can afford such cars, of those I reckon only a handful again have the skills, and should be given the ability to go that fast! It's awfully lot of speed to shed if you leave your breaking late hope it's got ceramic breaks, couldn't be arsed to read the article right now!
200mph on the bumpy Nur. Ring, hmm, not such a forgiving place to leave the circuit and kiss the barrier and hug trees at those speeds!
