I'm having trouble finding
1 - A tailgate (used is ok)
2 - " 1.9" and "GTI" side badges
and finally
3 - The red trim insert to the bumpers.
Any ideas?

Go to Peugeot for the side strips and badges. Not cheap, set of strips is about £60-70, badges are £10 each.
If you want 2nd hand, then register on 205gtidrivers.com - there's a few tailgates on there at the mo.

Just found this- I bought some bits off him on ebay ages ago....

he isn't registered any longer, but you may be able to contact him with the 'contact member' button.
I always found him very good.

Stroke of luck! I found an automatic, '91 205 today (non GTI) and when I enquired about it, I was told that I could help myself to anything I want! I'm gonna rape it for everything!
To be honest, it's in better shape than my GTI!
I've looked at the bonnet and tailgate and they look almost identical. Do you reckon that they are pretty much universal?

Silver.....and in Germany and I've already swiped the bonnet!
To be truthful, the auto was in far better nick all round with half the damn mileage and I've just ripped it to bits!
Any idea how much original shape spoilers are? It has a huge thing on there at the moment
