what is the most tuneable car for the least cash ie what car can you get the best results without having to spend shead loads on(if thats possable). we all know you can get a 1000bhp+ out of a skyline gtr but it'll cost more than the value of the car to get there.

well i suppose its in relation to the value of the car, 20% of what the car is worth and get the biggest percentage gain

Just done this myself, I now have a shiny Red Veilside TT Supra, various mods inc. full decat, FMIC, etc
When you hit about 4000rpms and the second turbo kicks in, it's a great place to me
Single turbo conversion next year for under £4k, that'll have me over 600bhp - a mint car with 600bhp for LESS than £20k
However, BUY TRACTION CONTROL.
Cheers

surely if you took a nissan micra and got 150 bhp out of it, it is just as relevant as getting 800 bhp out of a skyline or what ever this thread seems like a chav whos got the biggest *****

Buy one that's already been mod'd as you never get the cash back when you sell it...

Evo 1 or 2 can be had from £3.5k - £4.5k, still a bloody good car for not much dosh, and for a scooby forum i cant believe no one has said a K-L reg Impreza both these cars can be had for next to nothing, and theres loads of tuning stuff for them, but if you want a car to push over 400bhp, then you shouldnt be trying to do it on the cheap.

uk spec late mk4 supra
325HBP and 190mph out of the box.
i doubt you'd want to mod it but there's big gains to be had from the usual mods.

Still would say the MA70 Supra, get a good for about £2.5-3k, spend another £3-4k on tuning bits and roberts your father brother should be good for around about 500BHP, if the head gasket doesn't pop at the:
Start (pre mod)
middle (I just thought I'd take it down to the shop)
or when you have your 500BHP (woo hoo 500BHP! Whats that gurgling noise...)
You also forgot to add £50 for the gold medallion for when you go driving it.
