No way. He's quoting "max power" figures, where a 2L Turbo Nova does 0-60 in 5.5 secs. Where as in reality I beat loads in my mates standard R5, which does it in 7.9!!!

hold on, standard nova gte/gsi 1.6 will hit sixt in 9 sec, then u increase engine to 2.0 with turbo doubleing the power and it wont go quicker to sixt than 8 secs???
Something not right there, im sure they will do 60 inbetween 6-7 sec depending on how they put the powerdown i suppose, still got to be faster than a r5 everyday of the weeek when its in standard form.

I dont care how fast it is, would you really want to be seen driving that around? There are no tints that would be dark enough for me
Edited to add - that thing has great potential..................
.......to kill the unfortunate buyer

I used to have an Uno turbo many moons back. The guy that's selling that doesn't have a clue what he's talkin about!!!! lol
The mk2 uno turbo had the stronger gearbox than the mk1 and not the other way round as he points out...
Mine (A 1990 H reg mk2) had been extensively modified and it made 157bhp and then we increased the fuelling with an adjustable fuel pressure reg etc etc and the thing was realistically running 170bhp.It was quick too but the thing did not handle that well even though I put an Eibach anti roll bar up front, koni adjustable shocks and PI springs!!
That car he is selling was 105bhp out the factory (The mk2 was 118bhp) and all he's done is put a rising rate fuel pressure regulator on it (He says expensive but they're only 80 quid or so!!) and an air filter plus a bleed valve to bring up the boost.Bollocks to that having 140 to 160 bhp lol
Cann Durrant who he refers to clocked one of their cars at 6.2 to 60 but theres were running a proven 190bhp!!!!!
Anyway,he put the decimal point in the wrong place.Shouldn't it be £5.50??
lol

I had a Mk1 G reg and it was modified to a genuine 130bhp. As Nick says the original figure was 105bhp. Mine made 107bhp standard IIRC.
I don't think there was a single car on that list that I would have beaten. Obviously the guy proved it at the traffic light Grand Prix when the other driver was laughing so hard they missed the lights change.
I also had a Punto GT with 170bhp and that thing really did move. Still nowhere near as quick as what I have now though.

My Uno used to p1ss all over my Punto though!!
Dare I say it,my uno turbo graced the pages of Max Power a while back (When the mag was a half decent read mind,if there was ever such a time!! )

It is in Hastings though so lets face it, he won't know a thing about the car. Nice to see a Mountney Steering Wheel aswell. My Brother had a couple of Uno Turbos and Luke who's RX7 I posted about last week http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=361634 had a seriously quick Mk2 Turbo. Loads of money spent with Avanti including a fast cam and loads of headwork. Had a race with a 4x4 Cost-more (Cosworth for the uninformed) on the way to the first Ultimate Fast Car. Luke was running standard boost and the cosworth just pulled up along side and couldn't get any further. The look on those chavs faces was a picture.
