Am I weird?
I don't get excited by supercars and other exotica, but show me a Mk1 Escort with a Cossie motor or a Morris Minor with a twin turbo V8 or anything along those lines and I'm like a drooling maniac.
What car would I have if I won the lottery? I'd see if an RB26DETT would fit in a Datsun 240Z, lol.
Anyone else as strange as me?

I am wierd too.
dad and I 'improved' a morris minor traveller....this thing had major grip problems (once we had finished)!! and a Saab 96 (the teardrop shaped one if you arent up on your old saab models) with 180 bhp!
So much more fun terryifying so called quick cars in things that should have been scraped decades ago!

I asked a friend of mine what he would buy if he won varing amounts of money, his answers were
£5,000 - Nice Fiat x19
£10,000 - Nice fiat x19 with a twin cam engine and rally style body kit
£15,000 - Nice Fiat X19 with a 2lt turbo engine
£20,000 - Nice Fiat X19 with a twin turbo v6
Got a bit bored at this point and asked what he would get if he won £100,000
"Ah easy a space framed Capri with a supercharged Chevy LS1 engine in it"
There is no help for some people
PS if he won £1m he would buy a nice turnip in the country

Weird - certainly not NotoriousREV ..
I strongly suspect you've now reached that stage (or age?) in life that I reached some years ago where the latest-newist-sooperist MitsuSubarhubarbBMVW-MR5-M3-Sti-F1 has little appeal .... because as most enthusiasts with a good few miles on their own personal clocks eventually come to realise, there has not really been a truly 'new' car since Issigonisis' creation came to life off the back of that *** packet back in the late 1950s. All those since are merely rearranged tin..... consequently a bit of a yawn for the likes of me and many others.
However, there's a BIG flaw in my age/stage theory. My teenage son now has two years NCB earned on his Rover Metro. Checking his policy recently, unlike when he first insured his MG Metro @ 17 (@ 1300 quid by the way - ouch! ... .), he finds that the "Driving other cars with their owners consent" section is no longer excluded. This means he can drive the other family and friends' cars under his policy but, of course the cars are not covered, only basic TP cover applies when he's driving other cars. So, understandably, you expect him to want to get his hands on the Tomcat Turbo, the new MG ZS now nicely run in and will now rev all day long, or even one of my MG Montego turbos. He's now driven all frequently and when given a choice, which one is the most 'fun' for this teenager to drive...... his choice is a car manufactured the same year he was born ... a B-reg Montego Turbo .. datsa ma Boy ..
You should see the look on his face when that old turbo comes on song - he out accelerated a Chav driven VR6 the other day and his smile was a mile wide .... that's fun.... he then slowed allowing them to come alongside and their jaws dropped when they could see the driver was not some grey haired old git but a teenager several years their junior....... I was in the passenger seat at the time and saw the whole thing .... great entertainment!
That in essence is why I like these old bangers every time..... plus I no longer experience any excitement when taking delivery of any new car .... over the years done it so many times, both with company and own purchases, the novelty has long since worn off.
So lets hear it for the old uns ... ... Weird.... not at all ..perfectly normal behaviour IMHO.....
