1972 2.7 911 RS
I went in one at the weekend driven very enthusiastically by a Swedish guy round the 'ring.
It was a genuine car with R rated tyres.
We later followed it in a Sti 03 and had to try very hard to keep up....in fact it was lifting a front wheel uinder hard cornering.
32 years old and can stick kick modern cars ***.....simply amazing!
I darn't even put a value on the car.

Everything always has to be worse than a scoob in some respect or other Take your blinkers off - there are better cars than scoobs out there.

I was driving the 03STi following the 911 rs and it was an awesome car to say the least. Very pointy and very nimble ....... had a chat with the driver after, what a nice bloke too.

He may well of been really trying but he was still in site at the end of the lap when I was playing with the CSL. Very very fast in a straight line but only pulled about 15 seconds out over a lap. The noise when it came past was pretty special, but still not as nice as the challenge stradale which howled like nothing on earth .......

Davyboy,
Did you see the 1969 911 R replica that was there? Awesome car in white, and a fantastic recreation of one of the rarest Porsches ever (only 22 made). The German guy who owned it hadn't had it long, and this was his first visit to the 'Ring. Apparently he had a great time, and if I'd had more time I would have asked him for a lift, as he was a nice bloke.
I have to download and sort through the pictures I took.
Cheers,
F
