These are quite rare - the 180bhp version as apposed to the 150 bhp of the non Quattro. It also has the "Sport" pack as standard - lowered susp, stiffer springs, wider wheels, lower profile tyres and front fogs. Inside it should have the extra instruments and the sports seats. Unique to this version are the 10 spoke alloys.

They can take huge milages if looked after. The engine is strong but the transmission takes a lot of aggro so make sure that there is no play in the driveline, expensive sounding knocking noises or uneven tyre wear. There should be little signs of wear on the body or trim. They are often thrashed so usual cheapo performance car rules apply.

Would take a mate or get an independent check if I was you. Cars like this can cost a fortune to put right, but get a good one and it'll go on for ever.

Yeah should be fine with 120k, check full dealer history and all the usual areas mate.

Had half leather sport seats, possibly Golf GTi style Recaro's?? Also came with the white/grey dials as standard. Easily upgradeable 180bhp...... with a simple re-map!!

Cheers,
Grant

Nice cars, got a test drive booked for the weekend in the 190bhp S-line. Nicely kitted out and as said above, very easily tuned to 220bhp for little money.

Leigh.. If the Audi is the same shape as ours (above, MY01-Present) then the 1.8 quattro's in 2001 are 163bhp.

If its the older shape (MY95-MY01 Shape)......... Then they are 180bhp, and have 10 spoke 17" Alloys.

Cheers,
Grant
