Default Bonnet scoop on a BMW at Motor Show

Whilst walking from carpark to to the halls at the Motor Show on Saturday we saw a red old shape BMW 3 series coupe with a bonnet scoop just like one on a classic Scoob. What was that all about then?

Pmsl! If you'd spent long enough walking around in the car park you would probably have seen a Nova with an Impreza bonnet scoop on it. Daresay it would have been on there for the same reasons as the beemer.

Incidentally, did the BM have big chromed alloys and a Max Muppet boot spoiler?

I don't think so, but I think it did have some go faster stripes!

I saw a silver fiesta the other day with flared wheel arches, some kind of lip or spoiler and a bonnet scoop. I just looked at it and thought 'Blimey'..... there was nothing else I could put into words to describe it...

Surely BMW wouldn't make the same mistake as Nissan and Subaru and put the turbo intercooler on the top of the engine in the way of all that rising heat ..............

I thought the Motor Show was good and not as crowded as previous years. Surprisingly managed to get into the Porsche, Lotus and Noble stands with very lttle queueing. In particular the Lotus stand was very quiet.

Subaru had no WR1 on show, but the STi was very popular.

My favourite car of the show was the Ford GT.

One of the best sites of the day was when leaving the carpark. When we got back to our car there was a new Invicta parked nearby and the owner was just getting in. The noise it made when he started it up and drove away was awesome.
