I'm a big Porsche fan and I think this car looks excellent. Apparently the interior has seen a huge jump in quality, and I think that too looks great, with hints of 993 about it.
For sixty odd thousand there really is no substitute.

What have Porsche done to deserve all the negative comments they get from people? I've been reading various forums today with the release of the new 997 pictures and there's so much negativity out there. I just don't understand it - maybe I'm biased because they're my favourite cars, I don't know.

Just like spending £100k on a Ferrari - most people won't be able to afford to do it so they go for a 0-60 time to compare a cars worth and by complete logical progression the lucky 911 owner must be a pr*ck
Harsh - but brutally fair.
Long life the 911 - even if 'it won't do a sub 4'

Well said Gastro - exactly what I was thinking.
Cars are more then just 0-60. Only a fool thinks the more expensive a car is the faster it must be to 60. Driving pleasure is one hell of a lot more than 0-60.

Surprised they didn't add the Beetle's flower vase as well....
Think it is horrid, looks like a 993. Much prefer the 996. Porsche should give up on the retro thing.
The wooden gearknob on the Carrera-GT is bad enough.
Why are they still trying to make it look like it evolved from a VW?
