Question I TRIED A R32 TODAY

I went to my Local (ex)scooby garage today and Tried out a R32.

After driving it I was quite impressed with the handling, felt very stable, firm but still very comfortable

I have some questions from you knowledgable chaps

I did find the car lacking in performance (I did expect more power) is there anything that can be done about that, is there a VW equivelent to PPP ? If it did have 20% more power I would consider it .

Would increasing the power turn it into a dangerous pig? (Due to being a short wheelbase)

It was in EVO car mag last month, that there are flat spots on the power map of the R32. AMD have sorted a remap, so get in touch with them, youd probably be looking at the best part of 260 horses then, yummy

You need to go here

www.tyresmoke.net

a lot of R32's on here now, some modded up to 300bhp, very helpful.

Yeah I read that in the evo test, apart from that they love it....

Also a chip will give you about 15% more power, tyre smoke defo the best place to go, lots of rich city boys with lots of money to spend on **** hot cars! Bit too many Audi obssessives on there for my liking..

look at the new a3 3.2 with dsg with s-line, chassis and handling is improved, and it will hold its value better.

A remap and Milltek exhaust will give the R32 260BHP - far better than stock VW map!

Robdon,
I think I'd have been VERY impressed with that but sadly not going to be

Russ,
The Type 'C' with a 2.5ltr and only £1K more than the T25 and my wife will be happier with a 4 door and a boot, much better for Tesco's shopping. Coming to Japfest I have booked a couple of laps and will have a pootle around CC
