S4 Cabriolet

S4 Cabriolet
Coming back from the **** last night walking home and walking past the roundabout and a new S4 cabriolet comes screeching around just on the very edge, and speeds off into the night. Looks very nice in black with red leather and the roof down.
Audies have become my favourite cars, love 'em.

The S4 aint a hairdressers car thats for sure! OK, maybe the cabriolet is a bit
What are your favourite make of car then? Theres some nice merks about,, BMWs are too common, deffinetly Audi for me, get the class and style and of course the superb german build quality

The s4 per se is a fine motor but not in the same way as a good scoob! more your motorway mile gobbler than your cross country motor. IMHO of course!!

Audi's are in a different league to imprezas especially when it comes to subaru poor build quality. Scoobs do a good job of being a cheap performance car - audi's aka S4 bring refinement and good performance together in one package. Yet, the RS4 will be in the league of the RS6 performance which pisses on most scoobs - even in the twisties
And no, I haven't got an audi

This arguement is pointless as these cars are in different leagues.
A sub £20k Audi may have better build quality but trades it against less performance, you pay your money for what you get. That is why you have to spend £40k + to get real performance Audi i.e. Build quality and performance to match. RS4, S4, RS6 to name a few.
Who in their right mind ever bought a Subaru and thought they were getting great build quality. My 03 STi has more rattles than a nursery

One thing to say = scuttle shake
If you want a soft-top get a car that was designed as a soft-top, boxster s, s2000 etc, any car with the roof chopped off will always be too heavy and have too many compromises. Cars are designed with the roof being part of the structure strength, so when you chop them off you have to re-enforce the floor pan to compensate which causes more weight. Plus you've got roll bars (hopefully) and of course all the electronics for the hood motor. More vulnerable to tea leafs, and god forbid you ever get in a bad accident with them...
You might of guessed, I am not a fan of soft-tops.
I would get an revised S2000 though, anyday!

Oh Dear, Oh Dear,
mynickers, you do talk ****e. Do you own an A4 Cab, I guess not.
Do you know anything about A4 Cabs, I guess not.
The A4 Cab WAS designed as a cabriolet, hence all the body panels are different to the hard top. Yes the car has extra strength, but so have nearly all cabriolets !
And yes I do own an A4 3.0 Sport. (Cant afford just yat an S4)

Trying to remember..... Was it Autocar that only gave the S4 cab 3 stars recently? Poor handling & scuttle shake were the reasons IIRC...
