Default Help with supercharged Corolla...

Just signed up to scoobynet because there seem to be alot of knowledgable people on here, and i'm hoping someone could help me.

Just purchased a Toyota Corolla with a 1.6 supercharged engine fitted.

Great car, excellent acceleration, and loads of torque.

The previous owner has told me it has a bigger pulley kit, induction kit, and and uprated exhaust system. He said it should be pushing out around 180bhp.

Now the car is quick but i want more power.

What things can i get done to this engine to gain more power?

Sorry for sounding so vague, really after idea on things to do....

Why not add a post on

http://www.club4ag.com/

As Barry says if your in the UK, fensport are the chaps to ask...

Oh and to make the supercharger spin faster is a reduction pulley surely, obviously you might need to get it mapped to get the fuel right if running more boost...

Cheers guys.

I've got it booked in to be remapped at the beginning of the next month.

I'm not that clued up on how engines work but i want to make the car more rev happy.

Does this involve things like different cams, bigger injectors, do these work and this type of car?

Well suppose the 20v conversion might have been the better bet if you wanted throttle response and to make it rev happy, my AE86 Corolla only has the standard 4A-GE and it revs really freely....far better than my supercharged Cooper S which incedently revs to 7,400rpm more or less the same as the AE86,maybe thats the problem the driven supercharger. The 20v revs to 8000 apparently and is really rev happy

I'd have a chat with fensport oh and you may find a tune up / remapping and a service will work wonders...
