Pug 306 cabrio

Not mad, just pulling wideboy's leg.
Yes the 306 is a much better looker, has more kit and is a less stodgy drive, but if I were sinking my hard earned into a used car, a 306 with the roof cut off would not be it. I've never driven one, but the one I have seen (note sample size of 1) leaked, creaked and hadn't worn its years well. A Golf would be a wiser used choice but that's just my opinion.

Drove one for a few weeks - 2 yrs old at the time, and rattled/creaked all the time. Lovely lookin' car, build quality appaling. I'd avoid putting my hard earned into it. MX5 miles better and a proper roadster by design if you can manage with 2 seats, otherwise anything other than french will probably last ok...

TBH I checked the 306 out (bought a GTi-6 in the end) but I drove 2 phase 2 cabs and they were ok, well one was a roadster with the hardtop but didn't rattle more than any other car I've been in.
I'd say try it and see how you get on!
