Need to get a car soon (S2000 sold now) to tide me over until I find a Westfield. Want something big and comfy and have found an 95M reg manual Vauxhall Omega GLS saloon with 90,000 on the clock. Will be serviced and MOT'd by the dealer if I buy. Also 3 month warranty and 6 months tax. Car looks very clean and I think everything works. Got sunroof instead of air con which I fine by me.

£2000 good value? given I need something quick as I have no car at the mo.

I thought they went cheaper than that. They are very good cars but I'm not sure that I would pay £2000 for an M plate I would expect nearer £1500.

Just checked the Glass's guide and the price there seems spot on.

£1500 and I would have snapped it up there and then but the dealer wouldn't come down further than £2000. Thrown in would be the tax, MOT, service.

From a dealer that's not bad I guess. They are very good cars and you shouldn't regret it.

look for a GM900 saab (1994 onwards) 2.0 or 2.0t SE
high mileages no problem

should get M, N, or P plate for that money - much better and more reliable

Test driving it tomorrow. My Dad has one almost the same(2.5 GLS) except his is an estate and automatic. I've driven it loads of times so know how they should behave. Also, RWD's always a good thing in my book.

Well, test drove it this morning. It ran very well, quite fast really, very clean inside and out. Everything works. Hardly any scratches etc.

Cambelt done 15,000 miles ago, ex-Network-Q car. New front tyres being put on too.

Hey hey! I'm mobile again
