My brother has just ordered one via his company who he thinks only buy via main dealers.
Anyone know of any in stock anywhere so I can give his company a hint if they can't find one ?
Personally, I'm not hopeful for him
Cheers, Mark.

He only has choice of Ford, Vauxhall, Volvo or Rover ... up to 20k
So if he can't get an RS it's probably got to be a loaded ST170 or maybe the new S40 T5.

Big V6, sexy looks, Rear drive No Torque steer like the RS!

The last FRS was produced last week or the week before so he could be unlucky...

Mega is clearly jealous of Focus RS owners, or anyone who shows any interest in it.
He loves to talk about torque steer, or that the car is a death trap and Ford axed production early.. which of course didn't happen. Neither did the insurance group go from 16 to 20 because so many cars were written off.
Still, whatever keeps him happy I suppose.
Personally, I'd go for an RX-8 over the Nissan, given the choice.

MSF Ford in Ellesmere port had one on the forecourt last night, I was led to belive it was going back to ford as many dealers have had the interiors stolen from the RS models .
Give them a ring.
MSF Ford,
Rossmore Road East,
Ellesmere Port,
CH65 3BR.
Tel: 0151 357 1221.

Does it have to be new?
Some ex-demo's / 6 month old available for £19995.
Like this one. Used RS at Ford dealer.

Axed production early?
One of the funnier stories I've heard over the last year. What is also funny is that someone got 4500 before production had even ended, thanks to Ford issuing numbers in an almost random order - kind of making a nonsense of the whole numbering idea!

Can he only get those brands as a company car? Does it need to be new?
I'd personally go for an RX-8 over the others too...But RS is a fabby car, especially on the track, dont' worry about the torque steer, you'd cope with that!
If he can only get those brands, does MG come under Rover? The hot MG's are pretty good, just get bad press from their association with Rover - although I would still rather have an RX8

If I was him I'd get the volvo. It not only is WAY cooler and fancier it also makes more hp and has a higher top speed. Heres the spec:
Focus RC - 0-60:6.4sec HP:215 Top Speed:144Mph
S40 T5 - 0-60:6.6sec HP:220 Top Speed:150Mph
Also the T5 engine is a tried and true concept being almost 10 yrs old now. Volvo uses the same engine in its s60R and v70R cranking out over 300hp. A $700 ECU upgrade and a beefier intercooler and you can 300 ponies out of the s40, and who wants to drive a F*cked Over Rebuilt Dodge anyway
-----------------------
'85 Volvo 740 Turbo - t4 turbo@19psi, vx cam, RRFPR, MVP intake, stage3 kevlar clutch, 3" mandrel bent header pipe no mufflers ('95 b230ft block)
'82 SAAB 900 Turbo - 50trim T3@12psi, no cat
Focus RC - 0-60:6.4sec HP:215 Top Speed:144Mph
S40 T5 - 0-60:6.6sec HP:220 Top Speed:150Mph

Is it just me, or do other people find it annoying that some of the replies aren't the answer mwp is looking for
Focus RS - Any in stock at Ford Main Dealers ?
He's not asked what cars are better or what his brother should get instead, but asked a simple question and said his brother has already ordered one!!

Many thanks for all the tips so far ... he's on the case.
NeoSpeed900t ... There was never any doubt which one he'd prefer ... he's essex born, bred and still there
He's driving a Vectra V6 Estate pool car at the moment and is well unhappy.
Mercury ... that's life on here, always a bit of noise and most of the fun threads are the ones that go way off topic
- Mark.

Apart from the fact that the new S40 WILL be a Ford, I should point out that the S40 T5 isn't due for quite some time (And nobody would want to consider the existing S40 as handling isn't something that apparently featured on the list of priorities).
Anyway, the S40R would surely be the one to go for? Especially the AWD version. It's a pretty good hint as to what the Focus Cosworth may eventually be, but looks pretty special in its own right.
Even though I've got a Focus RS and would love to upgrade to the Cosworth version if and when, I must say that the S40R concept looks a lot nicer inside than the new Focus interior, which looks like a VAG wannabe.
It looks a big rival to the next-gen RS will come from one of their own companies, which I suppose is exactly what they want...
(And to keep on topic, take a few seconds to register on the forum at www.focusrs.co.uk because you'll nearly always find out about brand new, unregistered, cars on there first - many at normal prices)
