Astra - Imscher? He wanted some and got some
#1
Caught up with one on way to work. Said something like "imscher" on the boot? Not sure what that means. he had a friggin big set of gauges on his dash. Twin exhaust pipes at back...
Overtook him - but he didn't like it... was surprised how quick we was - not enough to keep up though
Whats the story with these things? - certainly not standard!

Could have been a 2.0 turbo. The Irmscher badge is an accessory from the Vauxhall catalogue or available withany Irmscher body kit.
Did it have a big rear spoiler? is yes then it was a turbo, if no then it could have been a 2.2 n/a

Irmsher, or whatever its called is a german tuning/styling company that makes products for Vauxhall and Opel. Most of the stuff they supply into this country is styling products, I bought an Omega 2001 model and it had a twin pipe back box, made it sound good, but the Auto 2.2 would not pull the skin off a rice pudding. It might have been souped up by someone else, not irmsher, as the cost to tune up a corsa or cav would be double the likes of say Courtney Sport.
hope this helps.

Irmscher?
More like alot of grunt but not enough speed. Ive only got a 106 GTI and have raced countless number of kids in those things and they always tend to lose..There's too many SRI's, VTI's VTR's STI's 'turbos' etc etc on the market now..this irmrscher is adding to it. Come on guys - the GTI badge is only that which stands for something..everything else fades into incomparison.
So Irmscher? Hardly Brabus/AC Schitnizer/RUF
Blah

as stated above, irmscher supply mainly styling accessories for vauxhall/opel,hence lots of cars made to look like performance models,as for a 106gti whooping an astra gsi, dont think so[200 bhp]

Yeah, in the current market it stands for overpriced over specced and underpowered, can you say Mk4 Golf GTi 2 litre?
Wow that thing moves, my non gti 16 valve renault would have no chance
