Question

.....I have an X Reg Clio MTV & my headunit has aparently got a "fault"!!!!

I've only had it 3 odd months & this isn't my first gripe by far.

But.....

I can't think of another small car that is such value for money!

Does anybody know how easy it is to change the MTV CD Headunit from my car & if any of the wiring can't be done by a mate?

I would also love to hear views on new stuff 4 sale.

N e good deals?

Bex

So can I use my stereo keys to remove this one?

Would I need anything else sorted to be able to use my digital screen on the top of my dash and the stereo remote?

Mrs, there are only certain radios that are interchangeable with the Renault steering wheel radio controls, basically just go shopping for a new radio and ask the question before buying, you will have to buy the wiring loom that connects an aftermarket radio to the steering wheel controls, think it costs approx 30-40 quid.

i have a new clio running about £3k of audio gear i have a kenwood deck and had to buy an adaptor for the stalk controls to work you will not however get an output on the standard renault screen where the temp and time is i was told only sony decks could provide the output for this, they are easy to remove a 5 minute job

What other small car can you think of for about £4.5k and with 18k on the clock, FSH, 1 years warranty and 12 months AA cover?

I certainly cant find one that I like!

Red face

We got (trade in) 4,700 for '02 plate clio 1.2 sport...

Anyhow, audio wise, do you really want the steering column controlls? We found putting an Alpine front load CD unit in, plus uprating the speakers really sorted the audio out.
I think we put kenwoods in the front and pioneer in the back, sound pretty good for less 400 quid of components.
