Took my mates for a spin 2 day we had a quick swap for a few hours he took the S4 and took the mini.
Well all I can say is that has got to be the best handling car for under £20k, floor it and it goes I take it nice and slowly into the first lot of corners and then I let it rip, well what can I tell you I'm in love!!!!! I am really reconsidering the GT3, getting a cooper S Works and a more practical car.
Such fun!!!!! Great mix of looks, quality, performance and handling!

I hear the BBR kit is worth considering over the works.

Got to find £1700.....

His dealers have said they will still honour his warranty

BBR kits are way too much even if you do get 270bhp, bo11ocks to that £14k for a power hike!

http://www.bbrgti.demon.co.uk/mini.htm

My Hartge with a few extra mods ie full Milltek exhaust and rolling road remap has 243hp,quite easy to get good power out of the engine, no need to go for the 270hp BBR, for 12k less you can get my state of tune for example...

The Hartge 210hp engine conversion is warranted for 12 months as standard and extended warranty is available for £270 +VAT for years 2 & 3 for piece of mind.

EVO mag tested all the different tuning companies in one giant test article last month. IIRC the S works was the prefered car to have.

Wink

We all know the works is the best option- well all of us that haven't got some kind of bias that is .
As I keep saying get the real thing-look at this way some people are happy wearing a fake Rolex knowing they've saved themselves some money, other people prefer to have the real deal.
Another consideration is which car will retain it's value better and have the benefit of the TLC pack as well as no reliance on individual dealers telling you that your warranty will be OK. When you take everything into consideration the Works is the smart option as it costs you very little more when you consider the whole package.
Read the press, test drive the Works, then buy it.
