Thumbs down

Hey guess what, its in the garage again...

Finally they have got the engine mount in to replace, but a knocking from the rear (which Fish Brothers threw all sorts of suspension parts at) is actually a damaged rear silencer.

WHen the centre section of the exhaust was replaced in May (as the first one broke - manufacturing fault) they didnt fit the securing widget that holds it on properly so the silencer has been knocking against the bodywork and is dented and loose.

Add to that that i have a 1.4 Megane as a loan car for 2 days !!

Ho ho ho.....better go and pick the kids up and do the school run..

Jeez mate - you must have had one of the worst Renault experiences ever!

Still there dealer network is utter sh!te so I'd never buy one, not mentioning the fact all their new stuff is well ugly!!! Told em that too - stopped the bu99ers keeping sending me bl00dy mailings showing me that new Megane's ***

In that recent warranty company survey based on car reliability that was widely reported (cant remember the name now) the Clio 98- models came in the top 10 overall for reliability (may have been top 5)and were the most reliable supermini!

The survey meant 98 models onwards.

I sympathise with druddle - if only the dealers were better.

wilf, with all due respect, I say "bollocks" to the survey. My MY00 Clio 1.6Si is an absolute atrocity and the dealers were so godawful that I will never again set foot in a Renault dealership, nor will I ever consider buying another Renault. Not even a V6 Clio which I love the idea of.

We have one too and it is nothing but trouble. They are by far the least reliable car I know. The number of people with issues on here is amazing.

Know loads of people with old high mileage clios that run forever and people with meganes that never miss a beat. Something went wrong with the modern clios.

Simon.

My 52 reg Clio Cup is OK. So far. It was 1 last week, and it's done 14,300 miles. And my dealer is great - Speed Six in Wrexham. So far.

Well the exhaust is fixed now but there is also a broken shock absorber so they have to order that. Might get the car back tomorrow.....
