I have got a Mondeo 2.0 Zetec, MY2000 V Reg

The steering wheel does not some to rest in the central position, when driving straight the wheel sits off to the left and it looks appaling and is very uncomfortable to drive.

How can I sort this out??

Cheers,
Grant

You sure your tracking's not way out?

Does the wheel not come off? I have a Mond but have never really examined the steering wheel

AFAIK the tracking is spot on, the car drives straight when let go of steering wheel, and there is no uneven tyre wear...

I would take the steering wheel off, but dont fancy getting a face full of airbag from 2" away in the process!!

Grant

It might mean a dreaded trip to Ford to look at some grease monkey scratching his head.

Good luck!

not had this with with me mondeo but i did have it with scoob, all it needed was TSL to re-align the steering wheel so it was central while they were doing the geometry etc of me wheels So i presume you can get any wheel type specialist place to do it so shouldn't cost too much........presume u can disconnect the steering column in some way rather than have to twsit the front wheels by however much but i'll plead ignorance on how it's done but was pleased when it was back on straight & narrow twas very annoying
