I have found a very sad side effect of owning a Ford Mondeo - No scooby drivers flash & wave back at me I do get a strange look, then a glance at the dashboard to check lights/indicators. Having waved & flashed at every scooby I've seen over the last 6 months, the habit is hard to break.

If you get flashed by a Black Mondeo Estate, take a second to return the greeting. It'll make me happy

Hail fellow mondy owner!

My girlfriends kids like to wave a scooby owners, one day hoping that I'll decide to get a scooby, which I will, eventually.

Anyway, we've had more than a few odd looks when they do this!

Why not just wave/flash fellow Mondeo owners. After a few days you'll have forearms like Popeye .

I don't get physically exited when I see a Mondeo - its bad enough having to own up to driving one I also think that someone in a white coat might take me away. My wife thinks I've lost the plot anyway

LOL

I've done this also in the Lotus. Feel a right pillock. There is a split second where you wonder why he didn't recognise you!!!

Haven't seen another Esprit on the road since I bought it, and flashing Elises just would not do!!

Simon,

Be careful of headlamp flashing with the Esprit - if it's like any other Lotus ever built, you'll be left with that lovely 'one-eye'look.

Mmm, classy.

Mr Mondeo Man it would help if we knew what area you lived in?

Same with me - Dave Hutton - you never wave when I'm in my MX5 - or you either Mike you followed me one morning and I kept waving and you didn't even notice....

So guys if you get waved at by a blond in a white MX5 - it's Meeeeee!!! ... not your luck changing .....

Nick - LOL
Remember it well in the old days of the Fiat X19.

One thing which is annoying though is that when you flash, the light pop up but then stay up for about 5 seconds after you let go.

Looks really cool up to that point !!

LOL

I am so glad its not just me that gets confused when driving other cars. My wife has a RAV4 5 door - Light Green.

A few times now I have been out in it and flashed/waved at other Scoobies - A split second later I remember I am not driving my normal car !!! Very embarrassing, especialy if my wife catches me doing it - Oh er

So please forgive me if you are around surrey and see a green RAV 4 flashing you with an embaressed driver.

James,

Do you HAVE to dirve a Ford. I mean; come on you must have some self esteem (spelling ??) .

'fraid so - for commuting. If you had to travel from your gaff to Chelmsford each day, you would not wish the wear & tear/petrol consumption on your nice green scoob. In addition, up & down a motorway means no large speed or interesting driving - so might as well...

DBM 5dr MY99 on M25 near Chorleywood (in traffic )@ 17.00 today - that was me on the silver Suzuki waving like a dervish at you - Hallo (one of only 2 seen today - the other was iwavable... [?])
