LMFAO, just did a search on Autotrader, just to see what kind of price E30 M3's were going for, so I did a national search for:

Make: BMW
Model: 3 Series
Trim: M3

and selected "return up to 200 results".

Out of 200, how many do you reckon were real M3's and how many were lesser BMW's with M3 parts?

Answer in a while

Same number as scoobs with STi5 spoilers?

Fake ones, of course.

For fairness, I've done the same test with non-STi Impreza's with STi bits on them. More than half of the 200 in the Impreza's case were actually STi's

OK, I'm bored now, no one's taking the bait

Stop taking yourselves so seriously

The answer was 4 genuine M3's out of 200.

Are you serious?!?!?!?

4 genuine?

Now that is funny (and rather sad!)

Sorry to spoil your fun, those 4 people are the fools as you have to select M3 and not 3 series on autotrader to get m3's. Thats whay there were so few. Try searching for m3 in the model field and then see how many are not M3's

Thank you Skittles, I thought so too. I don't suppose the BMW owners club above will agree though

I have since discovered that Autotrader classes the M3 seperately from the 3 Series though, so that does explain it a little.

EDIT: just seen Churchwa's post, must have been typing at the same time.

I never knew they did 4 door E36 M3's

I always thought they where 2 door (unless half of them are fake)

4 door saloons were available, why? I don't know.

4 doors = 2 too many

Apparently the 4 doors were mainly for the US market.

Denzil, do some work

Heh, immitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

People in glass houses should not throw stones, how many other cars have we al seen with scoob vents, spoilers and scoops, how many sports dressed up as turbos.

I don't matter

Well maybe it would've helped if you chose the model to be: M3 as opposed to : 3-Series, just a thought.

Tiggs, **** off, it's more like:

"I did a search for M3's in the wrong section of Autotrader, guess how many M3 owners actually advertised their cars in the wrong section"

Lovely car that. Just picked myself up a little something for the weekend..

The E30s get far more positive attention than the E46s.

Love that car, I have a scooby at the moment but would willingly swap for an ultra clean E30 M3

What is it about genuine flared wings/wheelarches ?

Original M3
Ur Quattro
Delta Integrale
Any others ?

All have road presence.
