I drove a friends 530D recently, the torque is amazing, a completely different driving experience to a Scooby, and one I could possibly get used to. The one I drove had all the toys, I couldn't afford that.

Was taken for a drive in a new 530d the other day, was being dropped to collect my mates new Cooper S by the salesman, the diesel beemer is an absolute animal, the best diesel money can buy IMHO.

I've had the plesure in going out in a 530D (with some blue lights on the roof of it 
) and I was amazed by the performance of the car, the torque was stunning!
If I was in the market for a car of that size/style then I would not hesitate!
