Not sure if I like it or not. It looks like an amalgamation of a Hyundai Coupe (rear) and Mazda Xedos (front). IMO its the most unlike typical BMW styling than other recent models.
Performance is impressive though (as you'd expect). What do people reckon?

Couldn't disagree with you more about it looking like any other cars. One thing about the 6, whether you like the shpe or not, is that it is original.
I'm still not sure if I like it, but I'm told that in the metl it looks great, and hs presence.
Evo have a review of it. They liked the looks in particular.

Skittles,
it does have a nice sleek shape overall and though i'm still making up my mind on it, i think it is quite classy. i can just see snippets the aformentioned cars in it. have you seen it front on though? looks quite menacing almost shark like!

i bet the 149 mph is limited too! probably would go on to 170+
also, there is a Racing Dynamics Tornado F50 (or something like that) based on the M3 that has the M5 engine tuned to 500 bhp: 0-60 4.2 and 190+ mph top whack... yikes!!!

Stylistically, I think it's a bit of a mess. Z4 front, Hyundai Coupe from the side, lord only knows from the rear. From some angles if you squint I'd swear it was a 406 Coupe.
These of course are opinions from pictures rather that the real thing. As someone mentioned the new style BMW's always look better in the flesh...

I saw one in Bracknell on Friday evening and I thought it looked amazing, so much so I have been to my local dealer and ordered an M6, he couldn't tell me when that is launched though !

I reckon SniffPetrol is right: Chris Bangle is left-handed, and he designed all the cars using his wrong hand.
The new BMs look cack, to my eyes. The Z4 looks like it's been made by the Indian bloke from the Peugeot 206 advert

I'm not sure either.
Have my name down for both the next M5 and forthcoming M6 but i dont know which one to go for. I do like the new 5's styling "in the metal" and spy pics of the M5 look great but i like the appeal of a big coupe and having something thats different.
Will wait untill i see one to pass judgement but i think the M6 will make afew supercar owners blush (575, vanquish et al).
Whats the opinion on pricing? Around 80k for the M6 i hear???
