My sisters boyfriend had just picked his new car up and came round to show it off last night. Beautiful car although not as quick as was expecting.

Seems a lot quicker than the 6.2 to 60 that its supposed to do but there wasnt much there in 3rd gear.

Anyone else driven one, or even got 1?

Havent driven one but seen one at the Motorshow. Refreshingly good looks in this day and age. Blends good looks with aggression. Interior looks sweet as well. As to how it handles I have no idea.

Fantastic all-round cars IMO good to look at (as was said good mix of agression and looks) well buil, pratical, drives good too! Was going to get one after my S3 was written off but got a Impreza instead which was stolen just a few days ago! Wish I had got the R32 now you can leave it almost anywhere without attention!

I've had mine for a couple of weeks now and I have to say it absolutely awesome. I'm currently very addicted to the noise and just sit in traffic blipping the throttle with an evil grin on my face

To disagree with the previous poster the car attracts a lot of attention! I can't stop for petrol without people coming up and asking questions and it attracts quite a bit of attention in car parks. Mind you having the deep blue paintwork is probably a major factor in that. If it was black or silver I'm sure it would be more discrete.

here's a pic .........

Thats probably true because the one I run for a few weeks was black and looked like a normal GTI to people who did not know, there was a few looks and questions but think that had alot to do with me revving the **** off it! SIMPLE STUNNING!

What colours do these come in? I was always under the impression that they came in sonic blue, but I have seen TWO in black - so wondering if they were conversions (they look more subtle than the blue).

As for looks - much like the P1 in the sense its the last of this classic shape - and probably the best in the entire range, old and new

So far seen Blue, BLack, Silver and a dark grey one. Feel really short geared to me. And that centre diff clutch doesnt half stink if you try a launch!

Ugly and overweight?

It has a better power to weight than a WRX! (163 v 161 bhp per ton)

Red face

But on the go it just doesnt have the same mid range grunt. Not the best car for exploiting overtaking oportunities.
Build quality could be better as well.
Does attract more attention than nearly any other car - in Deep Blue at least

Theres a nice silver one going round my area with a supercharger on, sounds awesome with roar of the V6 and the whine of the charger.

There's supposed to be 7 colours available. The original "sonic" blue or whatever its name is, a darker blue, silver, black, grey, red and 1 other (so I'm told by my future brother-in-law)

Interior is beautiful, he got the leather upgrade - although I was only driving it for 10 mins and when I got out the seats still had my **** print on them for quite a while, so I'm guessing they could look pretty shabby in a short space of time.

Have to agree that it was quick off the line but didnt seem to have much go in 3rd gear - although maybe that was just me expecting the kick-in-the-back that I'm used to.

I'd rather have a Focus RS over an R32. And I'd rather have an Impreza than an R32 too. My mate took be for a blast in his and the handling just felt dull.

So true a R32 over any WRX! I'm not having another Scoob since my one and only being stolen when I had it less than a month! Leaving me with a CLIO!!!!!

Anyhows, I'll stick with my new S4....can't wait!

It has a better power to weight than a WRX! (163 v 161 bhp per ton)
Original Mark 1 GTI had 135bhp/ton with a 1.8 litre engine, s stick a 3.2 in and get an extra 28bhp/ton.

Same for the WRX mine has 225bhp/ton in standard trim.
