Welcome to the world of the ur quattro.
Just don't let joyriders crash into yours, then park it at your folks house and have someone else crash into it, like happened to mine. Not that I'm p!ssed off or anything. Best way to avoid this? Keep driving it, never park up.
P.S. if you're looking for more power have a look here...

Edited cos I can't do clickies...

hello all,
im the proud owner of a 1984 quattro turbo, which as graham lesaux pointed out is the grandaddy of your imprezas. anyway not too sound too smug cos i am a fan of scoobies. they are sadly going the way of my previous car a mk2 oak green 16v golf. it happens to all decent motors when they become old/common enough that brain-dead goons in ben sherman shirts can afford to buy them and inflict there appaling lack of taste onto them.
anyway im rambling.
the problem i have is this, my quattro is cutting out via the ecu rev limiter intermitently @ 4000 revs. this is v frustrating as it happens at just the same time as the grin on my kipper is forming.
i have changed the rotor, dizzy and leads and it still does it 60% of the time.
if anyone has any advice, i would be v gratefull.
