rare supra?

Found in my neighbourhood this week...
According to its owner, a 1992 Toyota Supra 2.5 Turbo Diesel Automatic (mk3)
I have had the pleasure of sitting in it, its red with full black leather interior, t-top and more toys than you can shake a tree at.
Looking at the reg doc, it was imported into this country in 1997.
Absolutely amazing car, causes double takes everywhere it goes.
Surely quite a rare one?

There are NO turbo diesel Supras! The description of that car is wrong. There are also no 2.0 twin-turbo Supras either (Toyota has never made a 2.0 twin-turbo engine in production form).
The car u're looking at is a JZA70 Supra, with a 1JZ-GTE 2.5 twin-turbo petrol (same engine as used in the Soarer, Mark2, Chaser, & Cresta). Max power is again 280ps.

Go & check them out urself.
If they're really fitted with turbo diesel engines, then all those cars are suspect.
Toyota never built diesel Supras (or even Celicas). If u don't believe me, ask over in those Toyota forums.

Case was never opened in the 1st place.
A Supra is still called a Supra in Japan, there were no 4x4 Supras.
Turbo diesels?? Maybe those engines are too high for the bonnet line anyway.
