very simple cars to put your hands on
With a set of springs/dampers, they are BRILLIANT
very reliable too.
Check if the turbo has been changed because the standard one was crap and 99% of the owners have changed them
check the doors because the hinges sometimes can fail(rare but it can happen)
rust underneath the rear foam wing(common)
don't spend more than 500 quid on one.
I would definately get one once again

They are mate
PS. Apart from the rusty bootlid and the shagged door hinge(fixed both problems myself) on the one of the two, both cars have been brilliant and ultra reliable. The one of the two had full bilstein suspension and an uprated turbo(around 180bhp) and i let it go for 350 quid.
Suspension is the key on those cars, the standard one is way too soft. The steering was also awesome with the aftermarket suspension.

You don't have to look for a tuned one, don't pay a premium for someone else's mods. Buy a nice standard example and do whatever you want to do. The older the owner, the better the car.

ok, im getting one, lol
they sound good, and more reliable than a gti-r. lol
yours sounded good mate.
thats all i want to spend really, round the 350 or less mark as at the end of the day its going to be a track car and occasional road use. ive got some lovely roads near me :-)
all im gona do is get one then spend a few months prepping it, ie stripping and removing any unwanted gear.
im gona try get one and have it ready by the time Nads Pulsar is ready.
thanks very much for the help
