Hi

ive been thinking of getting this nissan silvia 1.8 turbo with 280bhp which has been heavily modified with a t25 turbo and intercooler and all sorts. im going to use it for a track days use only.

Is it worth buying this car?
any info appreciated. Ive heard these cars have destroyed lots of Subarus on the streets and defeated many cars like mazda turbo's.

what do you guys think?

If its not got terminal rust and the mods are as the guy says, I would say 280 bhp for 1650 is a bargain, on the other hand if it goes pop its worth about 10p like every other Silvia, I would see it as 1650 quids worth of fun, wouldnt throw more money at it but its a gamble, it may last years but chances are you will break it.

I reckon its worth a gamble - depending on what breaks when it does break you should be able to raise at least half what it costs flogging the other bits...

With no tax and test i wouldnt pay that for it. Also, is there any proof of the power claims?

Suprised there are no pictures of the engine bay and if I wanted to sell a car I'd be sure to MOT & tax it. Doesn't give me any confidence but give him a call see how the deal comes across and take it from there.
