morning all

i am thinking of getting a fiat coupe either the straight 2.0 or the turbo version
does any one have any experience with these cars?
any help would be much apprecaited..i would just like to know about the build quality and longetivity of the engines!!

'Used car buyer' did an article on this a while back. YOu should be able to order a back issue from them.

my last car was a light blue 20valve turbo fiat coupe...nice car to look at and in a straight line. Round corners was...ermm...a bit intersting to say the least.

oh yeah and one other thing in the 2 years i'd owned mine it cost me over 5 grand !!! thats one blown engine (cam belt snapped even though i'd had it changed 5k earlier - and Fiat wouldnt take any blame!!!!!!!), plus lots of goodies i'd put on (18's plus eibachs, etc).

In all I loved looking at the car more than driving/owning it.

Advise............ DONT !!!!

Quick in a straight line, Cant go round corners.
Servicing is very expencive.

Use to work for Fiat ! Belive me there are better cars out there !

best to avoid the oily italian then?...knowing my luck the car engine will blow within the first 2 months ownership!!..or the suspension will collapse!!

Used to sell these, great fun cars in the dry, lethal in the wet in the wrong hands.

Look nice 20v turbo far better than 16v and stay away from yellow.

If i remember wrightly there need a big service at 72k or therabouts! Very expensive £2k ish.
