My parents are getting a new car-despite me trying to persuade them to get an m3 cabrio or something they are quite keen on an Audi TT (fixed roof non cabrio)
Anyone know what sort of stuff to look for on these or any links to such info?
cheers

Try http://www.tt-forum.co.uk/ttforumbbs/ for a bit of (biased) advice.
Great cars - not the fastest but a good combination of looks, build quality, decent running costs and performance. Niggly electrical problems are the only downside to ownership.

Strange that some blokes with great cars seem to be so uncomfortable with themselves that they take to knocking others.
I wouldn't even try racing an Evo 'cos I know what would happen. A good pasting would be mine, I guess a few may sometime spoil it for all though. My wife might have a few things to say about some of the comments, maybe we'll just make sure I'm not gay by getting up to no good tonight!

PS What the hell is a window licker??

I believe the term he is using is a very unfair description of a person with mental problems. I personally wouldnt have chosen that phrase incase it causes any offence to anybody out there.
I am an Mk2 MR2 owner Gren, and I personally think TT's are great cars, although different to MR2's. Just look at the styling influence the TT had when it came on the scene, there arent many other cars out there with big followings from your average bloke on the street to motorsport fans.
You know you own a good car so thats all that matters.

Im lucky enough to drive both the TT and my Scooby, my mother has the 225bhp TT and like someone above said, they combine good running costs, outstanding build quality and look fairly nice to!
At about 6ish seconds to 60 they arnt that quick and the 0-100 times are slower than the scoobs to, however they do have a higher top end on paper! when you are in it it just "feels" good quality, hard to explain but i like it and would consider buying my mums if she ever sold it. Just make sure you get those nice 18" alloys , which model are they thinking of, the nice new 3.2 or whatever it is
if buying second hand check the air vents work and havnt broken and also check no switches are cracked ie the heated seat ones etc. Also alloys Very prone to kerbing as the older 17" ones stick out past tyres.

Whilst we're in this 'outing' mode i would like to confess to latent Lesbian tendencies, well, at least I bhaved like one last
time I was having sex with 2 women, aren't 'toys' fun?
Another little look into the world of Mycroft, a scary place to visit.
