Hope you don't mind me asking you like this, but I don't know anyone else who might be able to help. If you don't know - then I was hoping you could point me in the direction of someone who could.
My wife has a 2000 Saxo VTR with citroen-fit alarm. Now, the alarm goes off seemingly randomly from time to time, and we don't quite know why.
Do you know how to interpret the LED flashes so we can tell what the activation was?
Thanks in advance.

Afraid not but I know how unbelieveably annoying it can be Mines used to go off quite a bit for no apparent reason often in the middle of the night..Grrr! Citroen had a few attempts at sorting it, and didn't It was suggested I close all air vents at night but I found it quicker just to disable the interior sensors with the dash button which I got into a habit of doing at night time.
Sorry I can't be of much help
Try disarming the interior sensors for a few weeks and see if it still goes off. If not, then you'll know where the problem lies

Hmmm, from memory:
When you stop the car turn off the engine but don't remove the keys. Press the disable button on the dash (its near the hazards) The alarm button will flash rapidly or go on fully (can't remember which) when you hold it for more that 1-2s and thats it. Remove keys and lock the car with the plip as usual. Open the car with the plip as usual later
If you get really lost go to www.saxosportsclub.co.uk as a lot of them know their stuff

Had this with my 106GTI and went on for ages visiting the dealer again and again and was advised also to close the vents when I park up.
It was finally sorted when they swapped the alarm sensors on each side which was official procedure, yet they hadn't bothered to look!

Common fault. It's due to the woefull sealing around the sunroof. The water penetrates the sensors and kills the alarm box. Once you get the system replaced make sure the seal on the roof is done too then close the roof and leave it closed. My seal was done twice in a year, I've given up now.

this is a common problem, the only known cure is to drive to a local citreon dealer and say 'take this piece of french crap snail back'...explain that you made a mistake and your judgement is not the same as it used to be...they wont like it, but once your out of there with the money get that cossie you always dreamed about
