Does anyone know the forward facing new type(digital) speed cameras flash when in operation? (Purely out of interest and nothing to do with go with going past one at 85 yesterday on the A1!)

Forward facing Truevelo cameras (blue colour) have an infrared flash - and may not be visible in daylight.

My Origin Bluei advised there were specs camera's in the M1 south, immediately before the M25 junction. Anyone know if these are operational yet?

i always have to slow down and look in the rear view to see if it flashes didn't know the things had a infrared flash

Nick, Truvelo cameras use induction loops in the road to calculate your speed, only GPS based receivers would be any good.
