Nobody knows?
The japs have got the Euro R in the new shape but as for a Type R in the UK, who knows. We'll have to make do with the Type S

No Type-R model planned. Shame as the new shape looks great.
Mind you, the 2.4 has 185bhp at 6800rpm and 163lb ft or torque at 4500rpm.
Although Honda UK claim that if customer demand is sufficient a hotter version could be created to fill the Type R's gap.
[Edited slightly exaggerated RPM's ]

But how about the V6 concept
Powertrain/Chassis Modifications: High-flow intake and exhaust, 300-horsepower 3.2-liter V-6 engine, limited slip differential, semi-manual 6-speed transmission, prototype 8-piston Brembo brakes, lowered racing suspension and widened track. Exterior Modifications: Carbon fiber body kit (includes bumpers, side sills, grill and underbody diffuser), dual aluminum integrated exhaust ports, aluminum/carbon fiber rear wing, black chrome finish headlights and taillights, 20-inch black chrome wheels, Bridgestone Potenza S03 235/45 ZR20 tires, fender flares and NSX Spa Yellow paint. Interior Modifications: F1-style paddle shifter on steering wheel, prototype multifunction meter display with on-board diagnostics, Sparco carbon/Kevlar backed bucket seats covered in Alcantera suede, 4-point front seat harnesses, three-spoke racing steering wheel, aluminum sport pedals.
Yummy

Thats a real shame as the old shape Type R was a massive seller and if there was a new one it would be near the top of my choices for new company car !!

No, not the US version of the Accord. That US version is a very dumpy car, the rear end styling is awful.
The JDM Euro R has an Integra R engine, giving 220ps from it's 2 litres.
