Fisher Fury

I had the 1st ever BlackBird Fury about 3/4 years ago. A lot of stuff had to be custom made. Good for a few miles, but gets annoying after a while with the total lack of torque, buzzing etc. Car also sheared a shaft or something(can't remember) after about 100 miles because of one or two weak components used - Scared the **** outta me when it happened.
Had Mark put new reconditioned x-flow in free of charge - much better. Sold eventually due to little use (my bike was almost as practical).
They do look great, but remember that you'll never get the finish of a production car - Mine was originally lovingly constructed by a race mechanic over 18months, and still creaked and groaned.

My brother has one with a 2 litre Zetec in it. Nearly 300bhp/tonne. We followed the fireblade demonstrator with Mark Fisher driving at one of the open days, and the zetec could live with that. Used it on a couple of track days, and even in my (less than capable) hands it was taking seconds a lap out of a couple of Elise's there. With brother driving, it appeared very evenly matched to a Caterham Superlight R.
Not perfect, but certainly good and an awful lot of fun. Driven by the likes of JF, I imagine there aren't many cars that will get near one on a trackday.
