Anyone own/owned one? My mate is looking at the possability of buying one in a few months. Is there anything to watch out for? and how tunable are they?

Cheers

Very tunable mate,

Speak to either APR or Jabbasport, easily see 200 bhp out of em.

Cheers

"Is there anything to watch out for?"

yeah standard Civic Type R's whipping your **** !

they are so slow (golf's).......why spend money modding
one to give 200bhp when you can have a Civic....

The R32 costs £23k and cannot drag its *** to 60mph
in under 6 secs despite it's cost ....not good enough VW

Here some the bread van , MPV comments ........!

Talking

I went from a VR6 to a GTi Turbo, put it like this, I had the GTi for 2 months before I traded it back to the dealer for cash and bought my 1st Scoob.

Best bit was I only lost £500 on it in 2 months
I Bought it from an independant dealer, sold it back to a VW main dealer, who then put it on the forecourt for 1.5k more than I paid for it originally!

Crazy thing it was gone within 3 weeks

what why spend £300 - 500 for over 200 bhp and 220 lbs torque ?
- and thats just for starters

mmmm thats alot of money compared to a standard CTR

155 lbs vs 220lbs yeh your really going "WHIP ****"

In your dreams........

ETC ETC

I think the list of companies that do upgrades for the 1.8T VAG
goes to show how much potential it has compared to some NA cars

Still a fat, overweight, uninvolving non-handling motor though
