Is any of this true:
lol, you mean hardcore sax's list of what his car can beat:
"My supercharged VTR has 165bhp @ wheels and does 0-60 in at least 6.3s which ok is only 1s quicker than a 106 GTi, This is mainly due to gearing as I have to shift into 3rd to hit 60mph
But my VTR does 0-100 in 15.2s compared to around 22s for a 106 GTi which is a whole 7's quicker...
And believe me that is a massive difference..."
to compare:-
Pug 106 GTi - 22.6
Mini Cooper - 29.2
Audi A3 1.8T - Quattro Sport 18.2
Civic Type R - 16.9
206 GTi-6 - 20.1
Clio 172 -18.0
Clio Sport V6 - 17.0
Clio Williams - 20.8
Audi TT 225bhp - 16.7
Astra Coupe 888 - 19.9
Accord Type R - 17.4
UK Impreza WRX - 18.3
Impreza UK300 - 16.6
Volvo S60 T5 - 18.2
Lotus Elise S2 - 18.9
Aston Martin V8 - 354bhp - 15.5
Mk1 BMW M3 - 17.8
Porsche Boxster - 16.0

Not bull**** at all. Rob T from the saxosportsclub's supercharged VTR has been laser timed at 15.something 0-100mph. Remember this car only weighs about 900kg
Edited cause I said it was a supercharged VTS...Doh....Rob T's is a VTR. Matts s/c VTS is even faster Its currently off the road but it lives in Glasgow and has the standard MKII alloys in white to match the bodywork. You've been warned

LOL... why is it so hard to believe!
My car produces 165bhp @ wheels which depending on how you calculate it works out at between 194-215bhp @ fly
This is in a car that has a kerb weight of around 900kg so that puts the power to weight ratio at easily over 200 bhp/tonne
Ok being FWD with no LSD traction from a standing start is fairly poor, but once its rolling and traction isn't such a big issue it its bloody quick...
On the 1/4 (even with a standing start!) I can run mid to high 14's with ET's of around 94-98mph (On standard unleaded fuel)

Not sure of the full cost implications but I believe GMC do some sort of supercharger kit for about £3-3.5k fitted. Not bad if you consider you can get a reasonable VTR/S for £3k and then for £6k (total) would have a car with a PWR of about 250bhp per ton
