Dunno anything about that I'm afraid as Peugeot don't make a 307 GTI, perhaps your mate's mistaken as to what he is buying.

Thumbs down

Workmate has a black 3 door XSi with some daft plastic bits and wheel arch covers, although these were extra's.

They are not fast, wouldn't even call them warm. 0 to 60 is around 10 seconds and the high front and drag means they don't accelerate well at speed. We overtook a lorry from 50mph and it took ages to ge by.
Pulling off from a two laned traffic lighted junction he couldn't get in front of a R reg 1.8lx Mondeo.
Ride is firm but handling is not on the same planet as a Focus. The firmness comes from the 17inch wheels rather than a good sporty suspension setup.
He should have gone for a Focus 2.0l Zetec ESP if he enjoys driving, a far better car IMO (I owned one around three years ago)
