Question

Yup I've got one. I take it that you're guessing around 200bhp, or have you had it rolling roaded?

Done anything else to it?

I think you might be right

WRX playtime - Sorry for doubting you, but you seem to be a bit vague on the details of how you have achieved this 200bhp. K&N induction kits on a 172 have been known to lose power. Which exhaust have you gone for?

Have you got any pics of the car with all your mods??

If you'd like to give us some details (as there are a few other Cup owners on this board), then I congratulate you and I look forward to eating my hat

Hairy muff I guess if you were going to make something up you'd go for a little more power than 28bhp above standard

Talking

Me....a 700bhp Saxo Just kidding. A UK MY99 with one or two mods

Nos P1 was saying he had a 450bhp P1 that has 100bhp shots of Nos. Its maybe possible that he does but anyone on here with big power traditionally stays quiet about it or posts up with lots of detail as to how they achieved it and usually with graphs and charts to prove it.

Thing is WRX is that a lot of people come on here claiming all sorts of things with amazing power increases without the evidence and saying "esitmated" power. It would be far better for people show evidence of these so called power increases. Better for you as you wont be flamed to death... and no arguments between everyone.

I do recommend that you goto somewhere with a rolling road and get the power tested out and see what the actual increases are, you'll then have the hard evidence.

I have to admit though i am surprised of such increases. Would be interesting to list the actual mods you have had done. What does the car drive like now ? have you noticed a lot ?

Like i have said, if and when you get it to a rolling road, it would be interested to see the readout of the power etc..

No, it's the sound of an exasperated Saxo Boy kicking himself for not claiming a corner

The boost valve will in fact be an FSE power boost valve/fuel regulator.

Everyone bigs up their bhp once a few mods have gone on the car. I remember thinking my 205 would be about 125bhp after exhaust, filter, plugs etc, but it probably only went up 1 or 2 in reality to about 118bhp.

Met a lad the other night who claimed to be pushing 240bhp in his 172 - he had had a lot of work done though including the heads, cams etc etc.

well brett it feels a good bit faster but that could be because of the extra noise produced by the induction kit and exhaust. it has a K&N filter and a cold air feed and twin exit scorpio exhaust which i got custom built by scorpio through Demmon tweaks. Yes plan to get the car rolling roaded soon poss. oh amanda i work in that area some times and stay down their when i am and also work in dundee and stay in alyth some times aswell ok. and when i registered i was in the borders ok!!!!!!!!
