She's just written off her car (17 year old ****** ran into her, toally his fault) which being a 1985 Audi Coupe is worth didly squat so prob won't get fixed.

Any suggestions for something for her? Something a little different and with reasonable poke (0-60 9 sec type of thing). Nothing boy racerish, something reasonably respectable & well built.

(I want her to buy my VR6 Corrado but the budget isn't there! )

sounds like you need a Saab light pressure turbo. Fairly fast, comfy and if someone runs into it, they bounce off it.

I run a non-turbo saab as a second car to my scoob, it cost £900 and chews the boy racers (who don't drive over 75mph anyways)

Saab sounds cool as a second car, what about one of those wedge shaped Volvo Turbos? They look cool, and they've got wicked Bucket seats, and er...pop up lights.

I never owned a Saab before, a mate always used to buy them and I used to laugh, now I have one I can see why people rave about them. I can park it anywhere, if people ding my door in a carpark so what, I just open my door slighly the kick it full force and it mashes the other car without even a mark on mine

I can also use it to tow the scoob in the event of big end failure, blown pistons, sticky boost solenoid, wheel baring failures etc etc,
