Very tasty...

Top dog in the 911 range is about to get even butcher. Porsche have announced a more powerful version of their great GT3 will come blasting over the horizon in March next year.
The famous 3.6-litre flat-six engine will now produce 375bhp – a little statistic made even more impressive when you consider we’re talking about an unblown here. Yep, 375bhp and not a turbocharger in sight.

With the new engine revving to 8 200rpm (400rpm up on outgoing model), the GT3 will scoot from 0-100km/h in 4.5 secs and hit and ungoverned top speed of 310km/h.
Designed to be a real drivers car, little luxuries like computer controlled suspension have been chucked out the window… tech is only allowed if it will improved theoretical lap times.

Take the brakes for example: thanks to a more responsive ABS system, six-piston front calipers, larger, better cooled front discs, with Porsche's optional patented ceramic composite brakes, you can go from 0 to 200 and back to 0km/h in under 20 seconds.
The new GT3 is also lighter, has wider wheels (8½" front, 11" rear), and is lighter than the previous type. You’ll also now get an adjustable rear wing and a re-designed front air dam – all reducing the drag coefficient down to 0.30.

And if you only find that all only reasonably exciting, Porsche will sell you a Clubsport version specifically designed for competition use.

The price for the standard GT3 is expected to be around 115 000 euros (R1.06 million).
