After 1 month of ownership i add a small report on TT ownership versus my previous car a modded uk turbo.

Scoob was a my99 uk wagon in silver making 251bhp at PS.

Sold it because on my commutes to work daily, 20 miles daily in traffic i struggled to enjoy it as i sat in a low rent interior(with great seats) most of the time.

It was so effective at covering ground so quickly it was dangerous(imo). Loved the noise with full decat and the poise of the chassis.

TT is very different, slower, less involving to drive, tho not slower at the twisties, its just that you know it will grip than feel it will. TT encourages you to go slower with its climate, bose and heated seats.

Refinement is first class and will cruise quicker and quieter, tho with less punch.

I miss my scoob very much and ask the question what car can look so good, be a great cruiser, refined, lots of kit, well built and be able to match the scoobs enthusiasm for getting home very quickly with that noise while getting closer to 30mpg??.

I dont think it is built yet

How will these return 30+ MPG?

When I test drove an A3 1.8T (150bhp) the trip computer said 24.1MPG average...

Glad u like it tho.

Cheers for the input all.

mine is returning about 28mpg at the mo. thats with running in ie no more than 4.5k and half throttle.

tho i spend most of my time in traffic, is defo better than the scoob on petrol. use to get about 300 miles on a tank in that.

i tell you what i miss the most................... the waving!
