Question

Hi, maybee looking for an Octavia Rs as a second car, have seen them as cheap as £11999 in Motorpoint, (Euro import) wondering if anyone else has imported one and what prices they paid. Also what do people think of them? Cheers

I have.

I love it! Reasonably quick, cheap to run, all round a good car. There have been loads of threads about them on here. People seem to like mine once they have been in it

Turkish..

The motorpoint imports are irish and not up to the same spec as the UK cars (ie 16" wheels, no climate control etc). Its all been covered in a thread at the vwvortex forum..

As for the RS.. I love mine. Had it nearly 2 months now and done around 4k in it and its quick, practical, subtle, and surprising to most people if you can over the badge snobbery (doesnt bother me at all!). Economy is good (c 35mpg using optimax usually) but if pushed hard it drops to 28-30 ish. Insurance is Gp 16 so not exactly low but I can live with it.

Highly recommended in my book.

Paul..

My brother has to sell his at the moment.

51 Reg in Bright red, tinted windows, 17" Alloys, black and cream leather, air con etc. It's also been chipped I think.

Much under rated cars.

It's done 30k miles in about 9 months or so and his is up for £11k which is a bloomin bargain I think for the performance and comfort.

Cheers,

Phil

Great cars, I have a 4x4 octavia (chipped, naturally) which I love to bits, highly recommend.
