Does anyone know much about this car? A friend is looking to buy one, he wants a comfortable cruiser with lux options, any other options in this price bracket?
He doesn't want a diesel/estate, and is limited to £8-10000, cheers.

BMW
AUDI
MERC
SUBARU
FORD
VAUXHALL
VW
and probably a few more. Seriously 10k is a lot of cash for a 'normal' car. The mitsi will still have a long way to depreciate, far more so than say the BMW, MERC etc.
Would need a few more details on what he wants from the car to give any real help.

sold my P1 and now drive x reg 2.5v6 sport Galant.
older non sport bodykit galant not as good looking but i looked at loads of cars and this is the best for the money. cost 11k with 9000 miles on the clock and only 18 months old.
crap depreciation so needs to be a long term car.
seems cheap to run.
very boring after 4 years in scooby turbo's!
cant find any go faster bits anywhere though.

I had one of these for a year until May. I have to disagree with the depreciation issue - a 3 year old car like I bought will lose loads less than any Vauxhall, Ford, Renault, Peugeot etc etc. But then to get the performance and extras it would cost far for if you look at Bmws and Mercs. We bought ours for £9,000 and got £8,600 a year later !!
The engine is great, and it comes with all the bits - including very powerful Climate control. My only complaint was the handling was a bit wallowy and the kids were sick a few times when trying to go a bit faster than the norm. But the sport model would sort that i assume.
Overall great car and I miss it - we now have a Legacy and it is better handling but everything else in a step lower.

One of my collegues has a V6 estate - he has had it 4 years from new and has been v. reliable - but word of caution..
It has gone though 3 sets of front pads in 39K miles !!!!

Trigger - must not have the "right" Legacy then
The Galant has besically been slaughtered by the Legacy here (huge discounts available) - if your mate wants a fast/fun/family friendly car in that sort of class, a used B4 (or GT-B) would be a fair choice, too (get one with the McIntosh audio if possible, it's fab). Dunno if any are out there in the right price range though, and they are almost all grey...

Hi, I think you emailed me not long ago? Not mentioned it to my mate yet (he's the one looking for a car ), but it would probably be out of his price range, thanks all the same.
