Question

and standard scoobs can't.

Do they deliver the cars with exhausts in the back and you fit them yourselves, or do they have some clever ECU trick?

I've got a feeling there are some sneaky, 'low volume' rules out there, and I think TVR are probably taking the pi** with even them.

i m pretty sure they have the exhausts changed at the dealers presale, so it counts as "aftermarket" and avoids the regs.

One passed me the other day and I couldn't tell it was started next to my scoobysport bb . Must have been the factory fit job.

The factory ones are quiet but most TVR's sold have the sports exhaust added after build, hence getting away with the regs as said above........

Cool

A lot of it is actually down to the intake system as well, because they have an individual throttle on each cylinder, & f**k all air filtration the induction makes a hell of a noise when the taps are opened. You get a similar sort of thing, only less pronounced, on BMW MSport cars. Most of it is still down to having drainpipes where the exhausts should be though

Anyway, what does it matter how they get away with it, as long as they can continue to do so

I live next door to a TVR garage (woken up every sunday morning by them being test driven), I think the sound is gorgeous (well the cerberas & Speeds. The sound isn't loud, its just very low. Thats why they have the perception of being loud.

Talking

Lovely sounding cars

Came out of Oulton Park a couple of weeks back. There was a Cerbera at the lights just in front of me. He floored it Made the whole car shake and you could feel the vibrations through the pedals

Can't get enought to be honest

Chris
