Yeah just saw it in this months EVO magazine.

They reckon it can hit 190mph if it wasn't limited. Lots of torque and bags of power, the car rocks!

Getting good write ups too... apart from Steve Sutcliff in Autocar (well, he is a BMW man!)...

when I get it I will let you know how the drive is

I'll swap it back to the dealer.... I only had it as an interim before the RS.. mind you saying that, I have enjoyed it loads.. had a couple of track days with it...

It's only done 12,000 miles and is now better than when new!!

I'm on very good terms with my local dealer (suppose I should be thinking about it) and they will give me a good price against the RS6... think I going for Avant in Metallic Grey... (my S6 is saloon in metallic silver)

There was one of them at santa pod on sunday(gti festival)it was the avant,it had ago on the quarter and recorded 13.03 and there was a Evo7 fq300 and that recorded 13.53 and not forgetting a good old standard scooby my97 that recorded 14.26,all times were first run.

Maybe you're in a giid position to explain WTF "decoupled" front discs are on the RS6? Is this audi-speak for "fully-floating"? Hear the discs are directional too.......interesting.

Based on the specs, I dont think anything in current production could live with it in the real world, I cant think of anything that would be as quick across a selection of conditions/surfaces (perhaps 911 Turbo ?)

I await Saxo Boys response.......

Its a Big/Heavy car and i would think a well tuned STI or a Evo7 should be able to beat it on the twistys
btw nice car saw one on sunday and its has some HUGE brakes up front,they just fitted inside the wheels

I live in Newquay.. so not too far from Bude.. I may try and bring it to a meet some time!.

I think that they mean that there are two seperate pads for each disc.. two each side.. so four pads act on each disc.. certainly the front two.. I will look into it and find out
