Twingo 133 Renault Sport
Well, sold the R8. Got took away Saturday
Now need to sell the Golf GTI.
So looking to buy a cheap car to both run around in once I've sold the Golf, and maybe still keep and use to go to work and back once the S3 arrives. Keeping that for use every weekend.
Are there any major issues (apart from crappy build-quality that I know only to well about after owning a Clio 172) that I need to worry about? Like what millage any major engine components need changing? See a 65,000 mile example up for a few Thousand quid. Might go have a look next weekend.
I've always fancied one of these cars, as to me they are similar to the old 106 GTI's. Anyone on here owned one (Twingo)?

French seem to be making a comeback!
My heroes used to be 205 1.6 and 1.9 gtis, 106 rallye, citoen ax gt,bx gti, alpina etc etc.been so disappointed with what's been on offer and would not even considered.last couple of years though....and that Megane Renaultsport....
Looks good! Sorry, waxing lyrical.go for it.most fun I've had just lately was in a classic mini cooper.no power steering etc.like a go cart.ace

Lozgti1, You would love my little hot hatch stash..... 1.6 Gti 205, an AX GT ( white, 2 door, 40k, probably the best unrestored car in UK.... ) 106 Rallye ( MSA logbooked rally car ) and an '02 Clio 172!!!!!! I love a hot hatch..... :-)
My neighbour 3 doors away has a white facelift Twingo 133 RS ( 61 plate I think ) with all the cup options, and I absolutely love it. Only drove it when it had about 500 miles on it so kept the revs down ( it has 13k on it now ) but it was great fun. To be honest lesser folk would get fed up with the rock hard ride I suspect but to me that made it perfect, it was old-skool cool with the edginess I love. Get one!!!!

Just to add he has only done a small mileage in that time but I think it has been faultless so far and nothing appears to have fallen off... even the white leather inserts seats seem to be holding up well, and he is a big fella.
